a few days ago, dsic equipment co. has delivered the top module workshop of mv27(fpso) constructed for singapore-based mtops 1 month ahead of schedule, where dsic has received the unanimous compliment for its project quality and progress from the shipowners while having laid a positive foundation for further cooperation between the two parties.
the mv27 workshop is a turnkey project of epc (engineering, procurement and construction), mainly involved in six major specialities, such as structure, electric appliance, inner decoration, piping system, a/c and equipment. there are 100 sets of diagrams in compliance with not only relevant technical rules and regulations for modec, but local ones for brazil petroleum, the final shipowner, among which, a/c diagrams are critical. to speed up the mapmaking progress of a/c, the project team has organized the design staff concerned to visit relevant departments in singapore for further communications and to assign a specialized person to a/c manufacturer for in-situ supervision and daily reporting management so as to accelerate the mapmaking progress greatly. in this way, the a/c design period of workshop has cut abt. 2 months down in comparison with the like products, which has ensured the arrival of a/c at shipyard on schedule.
the material purchasing of this project is the lifeline of job progress, where there are plenty of materials to be imported abroad. with reference to the documentations of previous projects, the project team has listed a general list of material purchasing by category, where the manufacturer approval, contract signing and arrival time of products shall be followed up and confirmed one by one. for those whose arrival time can’t meet the building schedule, a close attention shall be paid and various channels be utilized to assist the outsourcing units in procuring such materials and ensuring the materials required to arrive in site timely so as to guarantee the punctuality of the whole construction on schedule. in terms of structural construction, the project team has got over the unfavorable weather factors, adjusted the building plan reasonably, and collaborated with the outsourcing units closely so as to secure the due fulfilment of each major milestone. in the meantime, they also have optimized the proposals for platform construction and block turn-over and erection, in combination with in-situ cranes and yard layout, which has guaranteed the rational configuration of manpower and accomplished the construction task 20 days ahead of schedule.
